Into the Belly: A City Adventure for Cloud Empress

It’s winter in Upsilon City, and with no military expeditions to keep them occupied, Lordlings grow bored in their frigid halls. Residents of the Belly, however, keep warm in the embrace of their mycelial home. That is, until the heart of the fungus suddenly blackens and shrinks away, leaving panic and a biting cold in its absence. If this spreads, who knows how long it will be until the entire district shrivels into nothing.

Into the Belly is a 10-page adventure accompaniment to The Belly, a free-to-download cloud city setting for the Cloud Empress roleplaying game. The zine contains:

• 9 locations
• 4 NPCs (including the Belly itself)
• A timeline of NPC actions, should the PCs do nothing
• Table of environmental blight effects
• Table of power core controls

This adventure takes place in The Belly, a district in the tilting cloud city Upsilon. This city setting was created in collaboration with a group of Cloud Empress wardens. Other districts currently available:

• Antaglos: A city under a city, Antaglos's abandoned factories and dilapidated manors have recently whirred back to life. This is the city layer directly above the Belly. 
• Cult Capita: The surface level of the city, Cult Capita is home to all things magical and mystical. Here you'll find occult shops, fortune tellers, and arcane peddlers.
